Toby Green

Toby Green is the Manager, Physical Activity, at BC Public Service, within the BC Ministry of Health. His mandate is to increase physical activity programming and awareness in British Columbia on behalf of the BC Ministry of Health. His portfolio include all ages of life, cultures, and abilities. He works collaboratively cross government to advise on physical activity content and initiatives. He represents BC government on a variety Expert Advisory, Steering, and Grants Committees related to physical activity. Through his work as youth services supervisor, he worked to support youth through positive engagements and integrate youth at risk into community. He oversaw youth centre and worked directly with youth, along with staff and volunteers, partnered with community organizations, and developed programming and partnerships to keep youth active and off the streets. He also worked as the Tobacco Free Sports (TFS) Program Coordinator he worked with the Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention team on the TFS program which included develop, implement and evaluate, as well as the Stairway to Health Initiative. A key component of these programs is the enhancement of healthy living through chronic disease prevention.
