Dr. Veronica Jamnik is a Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science at York University. Dr. Jamnik’s internationally renowned research includes the promotion of the health benefits of routine physical activity for the primary and secondary prevention of chronic disease, enhancing the screening for physical activity participation, the establishment and evaluation of bona fide occupational fitness screening protocols for physically demanding occupations, and the examination of mechanisms underlying the heterogeneity in individual training adaptations. Dr. Jamnik has been involved in leading some of the largest and most influential physical activity and health congresses in the world including the 2010 ISPAH Congress in Toronto.
